Job Overview
The Ministry of Planning, Development & Special Initiatives, Government of Pakistan, is recruiting a Consultant for Private Sector Development and Investment under the SPPS-III grade. The position is offered on a contract basis and carries one vacancy.
The role sits within the federal planning ministry and focuses on strengthening private sector growth and investment in the national economy. The consultant will work on economic analysis, strategic planning and policy advice.
The work includes studying economic trends to find opportunities for private sector growth, developing plans that improve public-private partnerships and investment frameworks, and carrying out feasibility studies and impact assessments for proposed projects. The consultant will also work with government agencies on policies that support private sector development and advise on regulatory reforms to improve the business environment.
The role involves engagement beyond the ministry. The consultant will facilitate workshops and training sessions for stakeholders on investment strategies, engage with international development partners to mobilise resources and expertise, and promote innovation and entrepreneurship in the private sector.
Monitoring and evaluation of development projects, along with detailed reports and presentations for senior officials and policymakers, form part of the assignment. The consultant may also be assigned any other task by the Prime Minister, Minister or Secretary, PD&SI.

Eligibility & Qualifications
- At least 7 years of experience is required.
- A postgraduate qualification is required in one of the listed fields, including PGD, MBA, EMBA, MSc, MS, MA, MPhil, M.Com, MPA or an equivalent professional qualification such as ACMA, CMA, CIMA, CPFA, APFA, PFA, PIPFA, ACMAP, CSCP or Chartered Management Professional.
