Job Overview
The Ministry of Planning, Development & Special Initiatives, Government of Pakistan, has advertised one contract vacancy for Member (Implementation & Monitoring) in grade SPPS-I. The position is based in Pakistan and is listed on the National Job Portal.
The role sits at the centre of how federal development projects and programmes are tracked, reviewed and reported. The Member (Implementation & Monitoring) builds the monitoring and evaluation framework, strategy and system or dashboard with stakeholders, and uses it to follow the progress of public sector projects, programmes and investments.
The work includes reviewing major development projects, analysing progress, identifying bottlenecks and pushing for their removal with the agencies concerned. The post holder also guides implementing agencies, reports implementation status to the CDWP, ECNEC and the Planning Commission, and takes part in CDWP and ECNEC meetings and approval forums.
A further part of the role is evaluating project inputs, outputs, outcomes and impact against planned targets, including PC-IV and PC-V evaluation, and proposing how completed initiatives can be sustained. The Member also keeps an assets registry of closed projects and prepares implementation plans for monitoring and evaluation of short, medium and long-term development plans.

Eligibility & Qualifications
- At least 14 years of experience is required.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and review major development projects, analyse project progress, identify bottlenecks and propose remedial measures for their removal, and ensure bottlenecks are removed in consultation with stakeholders.
- Provide evidence-based guidelines, instructions and feedback to implementing agencies so that projects and programmes are completed on time.
- Update the CDWP, ECNEC and Planning Commission on the implementation status of development projects and programmes using evidence-based monitoring data, and propose recommendations for their timely completion.
- Analyse project inputs, outputs, outcomes and impact against planned targets while evaluating PC-IV and PC-V of projects and programmes, and propose a sustainability mechanism for initiatives completed under completed projects and programmes.
- Maintain an assets registry of closed projects and programmes and propose measures for their proper maintenance and effective utilisation.
- Participate in CDWP and ECNEC meetings and facilitate forums in the approval process of development projects and programmes, using lessons learnt from similar approval processes.
- Carry out any other assignment given by the Prime Minister, Minister for Planning, DCPC and Secretary PD&SI.
