Job Overview

Research & Development Directorate, Forest Department is recruiting for Research & Development Directorate, Forest Department – 2026 in Peshawar. The directorate is the hiring organisation, and the post is advertised through the Educational Testing and Evaluation Agency (ETEA), the testing agency of the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The appointment is purely contractual for an initial period of one year, made under the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Project Implementation Policy (PIP) as amended from time to time. The post is a project post and will stand abolished automatically when the project is completed.

The pay package will be offered under the same Project Implementation Policy. Applicants must hold Khyber Pakhtunkhwa domicile and must be eligible in all respects by the last date for receipt of applications.

Selection begins with an ETEA Computer Based Test; candidates who qualify are then screened for relevance against the eligibility criteria.

Eligibility & Qualifications

• M.Phil. or BS in Biotechnology, or M.Phil. or BS in Genetics, is required for the Laboratory Supervisor post.
• The age limit for the Laboratory Supervisor post is 22 to 30 years; relaxation of age is admissible as per existing Government Rules.
• In the case of a foreign degree, an equivalent certificate from the Higher Education Commission (HEC) must be provided.
• Unclaimed qualification will not be accepted.

Responsibilities

• The selected incumbent will have to serve anywhere in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province.
• Duties may be assigned to the selected incumbent as deemed appropriate by the Competent Authority.

Employment Terms & Important Notes

• The appointment is purely on a contract basis initially for one year, further extendable as per the Government policy prevalent at that time.
• Candidates will be provisionally allowed to appear in the ETEA screening test based on the credentials provided; detailed scrutiny is carried out by the appointing authority, and a candidate found ineligible at any stage will be disqualified.
• Interview call letters will be issued to shortlisted candidates only.

• The Competent Authority reserves the right to accept, reject or cancel any application or the recruitment process.
