The Research Officer assists sector specialists in research studies, handles data collection and analysis, compiles findings into reports and presentations, and supports coordination with stakeholders.
Eligibility & Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in one of the listed fields is required, such as BS Social Work, BS Accounting & Finance, BS Banking & Finance, BS Business Administration, BS Commerce, BS Management, BS Marketing or BS Public Administration.
- Social science and humanities degrees are accepted, including BS Sociology, BS Psychology, BS Anthropology, BS History, BS Pakistan Studies, BS Political Science, BS International Relations, BS Islamic Studies, BS Criminology, BS Geography, BS Gender Studies and BS Peace and Conflict Studies.
- Education and teaching degrees are accepted, including B.Ed. Elementary, B.Ed. Secondary, B.Ed. English Language Teaching, BSc Education, Bachelor of Special Education, Bachelor of Education and B.Ed. (Hons.) 4 years.
- Environmental, agricultural and earth science degrees are accepted, including BS Environmental Sciences, BS Environmental Sustainability & Climate Change, BS Agriculture, BSc Hons Agriculture, BS Forestry, BS Geology, BSc Applied Geology, BS Earth Sciences, BS Water Resources Management and BS Soil Science.

Responsibilities
- Assist the sector specialist in research studies, covering literature reviews, study protocols and data interpretation methods. This work supports the design and framing of studies before data collection and analysis begin.
- Conduct data collection, analysis and interpretation under the supervision of the sector specialist. The Research Officer carries out these steps as directed and reports findings within the study framework set by the specialist.
- Assist the sector specialist in coordination, communication and collaboration with relevant stakeholders. The role supports the flow of information between the specialist and the parties connected to the research work.
- Provide logistical and administrative support in organizing and documenting meetings, workshops and events, including preparation of agendas, minutes and action plans. This keeps each event organized and its decisions recorded.
