Eligibility & Qualifications
- You must hold one of the qualifications listed in the vacancy notice, such as MSc Agriculture Entomology, MSc Hons Agricultural Extension, MSc Agricultural Extension & Rural Development, MSc Hons Agriculture, MSc Hons Agriculture PBG, MSc Hons Agriculture Plant Pathology, MSc (Hons) Agronomy, MSc Agricultural Economics, MSc (Hons) Agricultural Engineering or MPhil Agricultural Engineering.
- Other accepted qualifications include MSc (hons) Agriculture (Food Sciences), MSc (Hons.) Agriculture Entomology, MSc (Hons.) Agriculture (Plant Protection), MPhil Agriculture Plant Pathology, MSc (Hons.) Agricultural Chemistry, MSc (Hons) Agriculture (Human Nutrition), MSc (Hons) Agriculture (Forestry), MSc (Hons) Agricultural Biotechnology, MSc (Hons) Agriculture Extension and MSc (Hons) Agriculture (Soil Sciences).
- The notice also lists MSc Hons Agriculture-Agronomy, MSc (Hons) Agricultural Economics, MSc Agro Industrial Engineering Technology, MS Agriculture Economics, MSc Agriculture Policy, MSc Agro Engineering, MSc Management (Natural Resources and Sustainable Agriculture), Masters in Agronomy, MSc Agriculture Horticulture, MSc (Hons.) Responsibilities
- Liaise with public, private and Chinese counterparts for agriculture cooperation related CPEC projects in an efficient and effective manner in the light of the long term plan; mature, prioritize and facilitate implementation consistent with best practices for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Provide facilitation and assistance to line ministries at all stages of a project lifecycle, including the preparation of initial project investment proposals, the preparation of feasibility studies, and the appointment of consultants or advisors for project preparation feasibility studies where required.
- Assist in the approval of projects in line with the requirements of bilateral understandings between China and Pakistan and the rules and regulations of the Government of Pakistan, by giving expert advice on the structuring and appraisal of agriculture cooperation projects.
- Assist in the identification and management of any risks relating to agriculture cooperation projects.
- Prepare progress reports on agriculture cooperation projects.
