Senior Specialist (Investment & Industrial) (PPS-10) is open at Ministry of Planning, Development & Special Initiatives in Islamabad. The selected person will work on industrial cooperation and investment matters connected to CPEC projects.
It supports the preparation, approval and monitoring of industrial cooperation projects under the long-term plan, and it provides expert input to line ministries and decision-makers.
Eligibility & Qualifications
- The applicant must hold one of the qualifications listed in the vacancy notice. The accepted list includes PGD, MBA, EMBA, MSc, MA, M.Com, MPhil, MS, LLM and professional finance qualifications.
- Law qualifications accepted for this role are LLM Comparative Commercial Law, LLM Commercial and Corporate Law, LLM International Commercial and Business Laws, Master of Law (LLM) International Commercial Law, and Master of Laws in International Commercial and Maritime Law.
- The applicant must have 7 years of experience.
- The maximum age limit is 50 years.
Responsibilities
- Liaise with public, private and Chinese counterparts for industrial cooperation and investment-related CPEC projects in an efficient and effective manner in the light of the long-term plan; mature, prioritize and facilitate implementation consistent with best practices for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Provide facilitation and assistance to line ministries at all stages of a project lifecycle, including the preparation of initial project investment proposals, the preparation of feasibility studies, and the appointment of consultants or advisors for the project preparation feasibility study where required.
- Assist in the approval of projects in accordance with the requirements of bilateral understandings between China and Pakistan and the rules and regulations of the Government of Pakistan by providing expert advice on the structuring and appraisal of industrial cooperation projects.
- Assist in the identification and management of any risks relating to industrial cooperation projects.
- Prepare progress reports on industrial cooperation projects.
