Responsibilities

• Liaise with public, private and Chinese counterparts for science and information technology related CPEC projects in an efficient and effective manner in the light of the long term plan, and mature, prioritize and facilitate implementation consistent with best practices for efficiency and effectiveness.
• Provide facilitation and assistance to line ministries at all stages of a project lifecycle, including the preparation of initial project investment proposals, the preparation of feasibility studies, and the appointment of consultants or advisors for the project preparation feasibility study where required.
• Assist in the approval of projects in line with the requirements of bilateral understandings between China and Pakistan and the rules and regulations of the Government of Pakistan, by giving expert advice on the structuring and appraisal of science and information technology projects.
• Assist in the identification and management of any risks relating to science and information technology projects.
