Job Overview
The Ministry of Planning, Development & Special Initiatives has advertised one contract position of Senior Specialist (Socio Economic Development) at grade PPS-10. It also covers facilitation for line ministries across the project lifecycle, expert input on project structuring and appraisal, risk work, and progress reporting.
Eligibility & Qualifications
- At least 7 years of experience is required.
- The maximum age limit is 50 years.
Responsibilities
- Liaise with public, private and Chinese counterparts on socio economic related CPEC projects in an efficient and effective manner in the light of the long term plan, and mature, prioritize and facilitate implementation consistent with best practices for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Provide facilitation and assistance to line ministries at all stages of a project lifecycle, including the preparation of initial project investment proposals, the preparation of feasibility studies, and the appointment of consultants or advisors for the project preparation feasibility study where required.
- Assist in the approval of projects in line with the requirements of bilateral understandings between China and Pakistan and the rules and regulations of the Government of Pakistan, by providing expert advice on the structuring and appraisal of socio economic projects.
- Assist in the identification and management of any risks relating to socio economic projects.
