Specialist Energy (PPS-9) is open at Ministry of Planning, Development & Special Initiatives in Islamabad. The vacancy is open for applicants across Pakistan, and the selected person works on energy projects under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor framework.
The role sits at the centre of coordination between the Ministry and the entities involved in CPEC energy projects.
Eligibility & Qualifications
- Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in Electrical Engineering.
- Master of Engineering in Mining Engineering.
- MPhil in Electrical Engineering.
- At least 5 years of experience.
- Maximum age limit is 45 years.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate, on behalf of the Ministry of Planning, Development & Special Initiatives, with all entities relevant to energy projects for the conception, development and implementation of CPEC projects.
- Assist and provide expert inputs for CPEC Joint Working Group (JWG) and Joint Cooperation Committee (JCC) matters related to the energy sector.
- Develop strategies to implement energy projects under CPEC.
- Monitor and evaluate project milestones related to the energy sector for smooth and timely implementation.
- Assist the Project Director in developing terms of reference (TORs) for consultancy assignments relevant to the energy sector.
- Provide end-to-end troubleshooting of all issues faced by CPEC energy projects.

- The appointment is on a contract basis.
- The position is at grade PPS-9.
