Job Overview
Punjab Environment Protection Department has advertised one post of Team Lead, based in Lahore, Punjab. The role sits within the project for implementation of initiatives of the Plastic Management Strategy and Single-Use Plastics Regulations (DLI-4, PGDP).
The Team Lead heads the Cell's work on plastic management, from licensing and standard operating procedures to awareness campaigns, and supports the department and the Environment Protection Agency in meeting the program's results.
Eligibility & Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences or Project Management with 08 years' experience.
- Experience of management positions dealing with environmental matters and the management or execution of development projects and strategies, including in the area of plastics in regulation, technological innovation and recycling infrastructure, economic incentives and levies, institutional capacity building, and citizen engagement and awareness.
Responsibilities
- Implement the Plastic Management Strategy and the Punjab Environmental Protection (Production and Consumption of Single-use plastic product) Regulations 2023, which set the regulatory framework the Cell applies across the province.
- Provide support during hiring of consultancy services and PR firms, assisting the recruitment of external partners needed for the Cell's work.
- Ensure compliance and implementation of all relevant rules and regulations.
