The Punjab Education Initiatives Management Authority (PEIMA) is hiring an Assistant Director for IT-Software Development.
This role sits within the Monitoring & Evaluation wing of the authority, which oversees technology-driven education projects across Punjab.
Your day-to-day work will involve the full software development lifecycle: designing, developing, and deploying web and mobile applications, managing databases, and integrating APIs.
You will also work with version control systems and follow SDLC methodologies, with Agile/Scrum being preferred.
The role expects hands-on expertise in modern frameworks and languages such as.NET, Java, Python, and JavaScript frameworks, along with experience in cloud platforms, DevOps tools, and cybersecurity practices.
This is a senior technical role that contributes directly to the digital infrastructure of Punjab's education sector.
You will collaborate with other technical staff and stakeholders to ensure that software solutions are reliable, secure, and aligned with project goals.

Eligibility and Qualification
To be eligible for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria
- Minimum 16 years of education in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Sciences, or Information Technology (or a closely related discipline) from an HEC-recognized university.
- At least three (03) years of verifiable relevant post-qualification experience in software development in the public/private sector.
- Hands-on expertise in designing, developing, and deploying web and mobile applications, database design and management, API development and integration, version control systems, and SDLC methodologies (Agile/Scrum preferred).
- Proficiency in modern development frameworks and programming languages (e.g.,.NET, Java, Python, JavaScript frameworks).
- Experience with cloud platforms, DevOps tools, and cybersecurity practices.
- Degree level: Masters/Bachelors (Hons) (16 years) in Computer Engineering/Sciences, Information Technology, Data Science, or Software Engineering.
- Age: 25 to 40 years. Gender: Both.
