Job Overview
This position sits within the Project Management Unit (PMU) for Ghanche, Gilgit Baltistan, operating under the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training.
The officer will work closely with the Project Director and coordinate with the Ministry and the Federal Directorate of Education to shape how the project communicates with its audiences.
The core of the role is managing the organization's public voice.
That means writing press releases, website content, annual reports, speeches, and other materials, as well as responding to media inquiries and acting as a spokesperson.
The officer will also maintain a media database, track coverage, and look for ways to strengthen the project's reputation through publicity events.
This is a hands-on communications role that also requires coordination skills.
The officer will need to manage conflicts as they arise and escalate issues to management when necessary.
Proficiency in design and publishing software is expected, so the role blends traditional public relations with practical content production.
Eligibility and Qualification
Candidates must meet the following criteria
- Master's degree in Arts (MA) or Master of Business Administration (MBA)
- At least 5 years of relevant experience
- Maximum age limit is 62 years
- Domicile quota is open
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement an effective communications strategy based on the target audience, in coordination with the Project Director, MOFEPT, and FDE
- Write, edit, and distribute content including publications, press releases, website content, annual reports, speeches, and other marketing material
- Respond to media inquiries, arrange interviews, and act as a spokesperson for the organization
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with journalists and maintain a media database
- Seek opportunities to enhance the reputation of the brand and coordinate publicity events as required
- Maintain records of media coverage and collate analytics and metrics
- Use design and publishing software proficiently
- Manage conflict as it arises and escalate to management
