Job Overview

The Punjab Education Initiatives Management Authority (PEIMA) is hiring a Data Engineer to support its Monitoring & Evaluation wing in Lahore.

This is a contract position under the PEIMA project, focused on building and maintaining the data infrastructure that underpins the authority's education sector assessments and reporting.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing data pipelines and warehousing solutions.

You will work with large datasets from various education initiatives, ensuring they are cleaned, transformed, and made available for analysis.

The position requires hands-on expertise in SQL, Python, and ETL frameworks such as Apache Airflow, SSIS, or Azure Data Factory, as well as familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or GCP.

You will also collaborate with data analysts and program teams to understand their reporting needs and translate them into efficient data models.

The role involves troubleshooting data issues, optimizing query performance, and implementing best practices in data architecture.

Given the public-sector context, you will need to maintain high standards of data accuracy and security.

This is an opportunity to apply modern data engineering practices within a government initiative focused on improving education outcomes in Punjab.
