The Punjab Education Initiatives Management Authority (PEIMA) is hiring a Data Engineer to support its Monitoring & Evaluation wing in Lahore.

Eligibility and Qualification
To be eligible for this Data Engineer position, candidates must meet the following criteria
- Master's degree or 16 years of qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Sciences, Information Technology, or a related field from an HEC-recognized national or foreign university.
- At least five (05) years of verifiable relevant post-qualification experience in public/private sectors.
- Experience with SQL, Python, and ETL frameworks (e.g., Apache Airflow, SSIS, or Azure Data Factory).
- Experience with data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, Big Query, or Azure Synapse).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
- Strong understanding of database architecture and data modeling techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark).
- Knowledge of DevOps pipelines and CI/CD practices for data workflows.
- Familiarity with API integration and real-time data streaming (Kafka, Event Hubs).
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using ETL frameworks such as Apache Airflow, SSIS, or Azure Data Factory.
- Implement and manage data warehousing solutions like Snowflake, Redshift, Big Query, or Azure Synapse.
- Write and optimize SQL queries and Python scripts for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
- Work with big data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark to process large volumes of data.
- Integrate data from various sources using APIs and real-time streaming tools like Kafka or Event Hubs.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data systems.
- Collaborate with data analysts and program teams to understand reporting requirements and deliver data models.
- Troubleshoot and debug data pipeline issues to minimize downtime.
- Implement DevOps pipelines and CI/CD practices for data workflows.
- Document data architecture, processes, and workflows for knowledge sharing.
