Job Overview

The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) is looking for a Data Harmonization and Reconciliation Analyst to support SME-related data initiatives.

This role sits within the board's broader mandate to digitize and streamline government processes, and it involves direct coordination with federal and provincial departments, academia, industry, and development sector partners.

Your primary focus will be on collecting, consolidating, and harmonizing SME data from surveys, registrations, government databases, and partner organizations.

You will ensure consistency in data formats, classifications, and standards across all sources.

A key part of the job is performing data reconciliation and validation to spot discrepancies, duplicates, missing information, and inconsistencies, then working with stakeholders to correct them.

You will also develop and maintain dynamic data quality assurance processes to keep datasets reliable over time.

The role may involve other relevant tasks assigned by the Authority as work evolves.

Eligibility and Qualification

To be eligible for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria

  • Masters or Bachelors (Hons) degree (16 years of education) in Advanced Computing, Computational Science, Computer Engineering/Sciences, Computer Networks, Information Engineering/Sciences, Information Technology, Data Science, Data Analytics, Management Information System, or Management and Technol…
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Age between 24 and 45 years.
  • Both male and female candidates are eligible.
  • Domicile is required for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with related government departments in federal and provincial government, academia, industry, and the development sector for SME-related data gathering, assimilation, and reconciliation.
  • Collect, consolidate, and harmonize SME-related data from multiple sources, including surveys, registrations, government databases, and partner organizations, ensuring consistency in data formats, classifications, and standards.
  • Perform data reconciliation and validation to identify discrepancies, duplicates, missing information, and inconsistencies across SME datasets, and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Develop and maintain dynamic data quality assurance processes.
  • Carry out any other relevant tasks assigned from time to time by the Authority.
