Job Overview
The Director (Academics & Research) will lead the academic and research functions of the Punjab Education Initiatives Management Authority (PEIMA), a project-based body under the Government of Punjab.
This role sits at the heart of PEIMA's mandate to improve school education through evidence-based reform, curriculum alignment, and teacher development.
Day-to-day, the Director oversees the design and review of curricula against national standards, directs educational research and impact assessments, and drives teacher professional development programs.
The post also carries responsibility for academic quality assurance, school improvement frameworks, and policy analysis that informs reform decisions.
Working within a medium-to-large public sector organization, the Director collaborates with government agencies, NGOs, and donor organizations to ensure PEIMA's initiatives are grounded in solid research and deliver measurable outcomes.
This is a senior leadership position that shapes how academic standards are set and implemented across Punjab's education landscape.
Eligibility and Qualification
Candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria
- Minimum 16 years of education in Education Planning, Research, Curriculum Development, Management Sciences, or Social Sciences from an HEC-recognized national or foreign university.
- Preference for M.Phil or PhD degree holders in the above subjects.
- At least 10 years of verifiable relevant experience in public/private sectors, including 3 years at senior level in a medium or large organization.
- Experience in research/curriculum design, review, alignment with national standards, educational research methodologies, impact assessment, teacher professional development, academic quality assurance, school improvement frameworks, policy analysis, and evidence-based reform.
- Preference for candidates with experience working with government agencies, NGOs, international/domestic donor organizations, and sound knowledge of the education sector.
- Domicile is required for this position.
- Age: 35 to 55 years. Gender: Both.
- Degree level: Masters/Bachelors (Hons) (16 years).
- Division: Third (33% and above) required.
