Job Overview
The Punjab Land Record Authority (PLRA) is looking for an Internal Auditor to join its Project Implementation Unit in Lahore.
This is a contract role within the Revenue Division, focused on strengthening internal financial controls and audit functions for the authority's projects.
The Internal Auditor will be responsible for conducting internal audits, reviewing financial processes, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and donor requirements.
The role involves examining financial records, identifying risks, and recommending improvements to enhance efficiency and accountability.
Candidates with prior experience in donor-funded projects will be given preference, as the position requires familiarity with international audit standards and reporting requirements.
The auditor will work closely with project management to ensure that funds are utilized effectively and in line with approved budgets.
Eligibility and Qualification
Candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria
- ACCA / ACMA / CA or equivalent from an HEC recognized university/institute.
- At least 5 years of post-qualification experience in Audit & Finance in the public sector.
- Prior experience in donor funded projects will be preferred.
- Degree level: Masters/Bachelors (Hons) (16 years of education).
- Degree area: Accounting, Chartered Accountancy, Accountancy/Chartered Accountancy.
- Age: 35 to 70 years.
- Gender: Both male and female candidates are eligible.
- Domicile is required for this position.
Responsibilities
- Conduct internal audits of financial transactions and records.
- Review and evaluate the effectiveness of internal control systems.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and donor requirements.
- Prepare audit reports and present findings to management.
- Identify areas of financial risk and recommend corrective actions.
- Assist in the development and implementation of audit policies and procedures.
