Job Description

The Ministry of Railways, Government of Pakistan, invites submissions for the position of Project Director (Contract) under the Rehabilitation of Track Machines project. This is a senior role set in Lahore or at the project site, with possible deployment anywhere in Pakistan.

The Project Director will lead the rehabilitation initiative, securing timely completion inside budget and standard standards. The operate domain demands expertise in PPRA rules, contract management, EPC contracts, and MS Project.

Applicants with a Master's in Project Management or an international diploma in the field will obtain additional marks. This is a single-vacancy position with a maximum age limit of 62 years.

Salary & Compensation

Estimated marketplace salary: PKR 120,000 – 250,000 per month.

Qualification

Candidates must keep a Master's in Project Management, B.Sc. Engineering (Mechanical), MBA, MPA, or another applicable field from an HEC-recognized institution, with at least 16 years of education. All degrees must be recognized by PEC/HEC. The following qualifications are accepted.

Role Responsibilities

• Lead the Rehabilitation of Track Machines project from planning to completion.
• Confirm compliance with PPRA rules and contract management procedures.
• Manage EPC contracts and supervise project scheduling using MS Project.
• Arrange with internal and external stakeholders for project execution.
• Monitor project progress, budget, and caliber standards.
• Arrange and present project reports to senior management.
• Manage project teams and contractors.
