Job Description
The National IT Board (NITB), a federal government body under the Government of Pakistan, is recruiting 16 Project Support Officers on a contract basis at grade PPS-8.
These roles are based in Islamabad and involve functioning from a Command & Control Center to monitor city dashboards covering traffic, environment, utilities, and safety. Winning applicants will respond to alerts they’ll run video management systems (VMS), GIS displays, and IoT analytics consoles.
The position also needs information entry, routine reviews, and shift handover documentation. This is a critical project role, and the particular duties and required competencies may be further defined at the time of hiring.
The work domain suits IT graduates with at least one year of experience who are comfortable with shift function and technology-driven monitoring systems. Age relaxation has previously been applied, with the maximum age limit fix at 50 years.
Salary & Compensation
Estimated market salary: PKR 35,000 – 55,000 per month.
Qualification
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree (14 years of education) in Computer Science, Details Technology, Computer Engineering, or a tightly related field from a recognized institution. A minimum of 1 year of related experience is called for.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (BSCS, BCS, BS Computer Science) or Information Technology (BSIT, BE IT) or Computer Engineering (BE Computer Engineering, BS Computer Engineering) or Computer Systems Engineering (BE/BSc Computer Systems Engineering) or equivalent (14 years education).
- Associate degrees in Computer Science, Computer Networking, or Info Technology Management are also accepted.
- Other eligible degrees contain BBA (Data Technology), B.Com Details Technology, BA (Info Technology), BBIT, BS Computer Networks, BS Computer Arts. Bachelors of Islamic Studies (Arabic and Computer Technology).
- Minimum 1 year of post-qualification experience in a applicable field.
- Maximum age limit: 50 years (age relaxation by now included).
- Applicants must be willing to perform in shifts at the Command & Control Center.
Role Responsibilities
- Monitor assigned city dashboards for traffic, environment, utilities, and safety from the Command & Control Center.
- Respond to alerts.
- Work video management system (VMS), GIS displays, and IoT analytics consoles.
- Perform records entry, routine inspects, and shift handover documentation.
- Coordinate with relevant departments for incident resolution.
- Maintain logs and reports of daily operations and alerts.
- Adhere to security protocols and figures privacy guidelines.
