Job Description

The Executive Director – National Digital Innovation Lab (Taxation) will cater to as the Pakistan Digital Authority's sector pro for Taxation. The role involves leading the design, development, and rollout of digital function initiatives to modernize tax administration, improve revenue systems, and boost taxpayer offerings.

The incumbent will set up and operationalize the National Digital Innovation Lab (Taxation) as a center of excellence for digital tax innovation. This includes developing sector-specific digital strategies, offering roadmaps, and deploying AI-driven tax administration remedies.

The perform field calls for coordination with ministries, tax authorities, and development partners to confirm interoperability with national Digital Public Infrastructure. The position is based in Islamabad and reports to the Authority's leadership.

It suits senior professionals with a background in tax technology, revenue modernization, and public sector digital reforms.

Salary & Compensation

Estimated market salary: PKR 45,000 – 90,000 per month.

Qualification

Candidates must grip a minimum Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Taxation, Public Administration, Computer Science, Details Technology, Company Administration, or a related discipline. A Master's degree in Taxation, Economics, Public Policy, Business Administration, Data Systems, or a related field is preferred.

• Minimum 15 years of professional experience in taxation, revenue administration, public finance, tax technology, digital government, or related fields.
• Demonstrated experience in tax administration modernization, digital operate programmes, revenue systems, or technology-enabled public sector reforms.
• Experience functioning with government institutions, tax authorities, regulators, international institutions, or large-scale transformation programmes preferred.
• Proven experience in leading multidisciplinary teams and managing complex projects.
• Decent grasp of Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI), digital identity, and government figures exchange frameworks.

Role Responsibilities

• Lead the establishment and operationalization of the National Digital Innovation Lab (Taxation) as a center of excellence for digital tax innovation.
• Give sector leadership and subject matter expertise on digital taxation, revenue administration, taxpayer services, and technology-enabled compliance.
• Build and put in place sector-specific digital strategies, innovation initiatives, and solution roadmaps matched with national digital priorities.
• Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of digital taxation platforms, taxpayer solution fixes, revenue analytics platforms, compliance systems, and AI-driven tax administration answers.
• Spot prospects to apply rising technologies such as artificial intelligence, advanced analytics, automation, machine learning. Digital identity to improve tax administration, compliance, fraud detection, revenue forecasting, and taxpayer experience.
• Arrange with applicable ministries, tax authorities, regulatory agencies, provincial governments, development partners, and other stakeholders to accelerate digital function inside the taxation network.
• Make sure interoperability with national Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI), digital identity, payment systems, and government information exchange frameworks.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams responsible for innovation, item development, research, and execution while monitoring venture delivery, dangers, and outcomes.
