Job Description
Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) is hiring an Additional Director (Finance) to lead financial operations in Lahore. This senior role involves managing finance and accounts, preparing statutory financial statements, and securing compliance with government policies.
The position is best-suited for experienced finance professionals with a background in large or medium-sized bodies. You’ll oversee financial matters, coordinate with the Finance Department and Education Department, and support the Director in targeted financial planning.
PEF presents a contract-based role with a salary variety of PKR 0-290,000 per month, reflecting the seniority and responsibility of the position.
Salary & Compensation
Salary / Pay Package: PKR 290,000 per month.
Qualification
Applicants must grip one of the following: Chartered Accountant, ACCA, ACMA, or a related Masters/M.Com/MBA Finance/MS Finance/MS (Accounting & Finance)/BBA (Hons.) Finance. Experience needs vary by qualification.
- Chartered Accountant / ACCA / ACMA with at least 8 years post-qualification leadership experience in financial management, fund management, financial analysis, and reporting in a big/medium organization.
- OR Masters/M.Com/MBA Finance/MS Finance/MS (Accounting & Finance)/BBA (Hons.) Finance with at least 10 years post-qualification leadership experience in the matching fields.
- Must possess strong presentation, analytical, communication, and interpersonal expertise.
- Proficiency in MS Office and expertise in handling computerized accounting software.
- Domicile of Punjab is required.

Role Responsibilities
- Execute, run, and carry out finance and accounts as per approved policy, proposing improvements to the Director.
- Manage financial matters related to plan and non-program payments, ensuring productive internal financial controls.
- Get ready statutory financial statements (balance sheet, receipt & payments, cash flows) in line with Companies Ordinance 1984 and International Accounting Standards.
- Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, tracking financial targets, and analyzing variances.
- Make sure timely release of funds as approved by the Finance Department, Government of Punjab.
- Ensure timely submission of income tax statements, sales tax returns, and even bank-related matters.
- Correspond with Education Department, Finance Department, and DG Commercial Audit on financial and audit matters.
- Assist in getting ready Finance Committee agendas, financial reviews, and minutes of meetings.
