Job Description
The Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) is hiring a Director (Finance) to lead its finance directorate. This role is located in Lahore and involves planning, rolling out, and managing all financial and operational aspects of the foundation.
The director will manage financial matters related to programs and non-program payments, confirm solid internal financial controls, and get ready budget estimates and forecasts. The position also calls for liaising with external auditors and government departments on audit and financial matters.
This is a contract position fitting for experienced finance professionals with a background in chartered accountancy, ACCA, ACMA, or a related master's degree. The perform field demands strong analytical, presentation, and interpersonal abilities, along with expertise in computerized accounting software.
Salary & Compensation
Estimated marketplace salary: PKR 120,000 – 250,000 per month.
Qualification
Applicants must gather one of the following qualification and experience requirements.
- Chartered Accountant / ACCA / ACMA with at least 8 years post-qualification managerial experience in financial management, corporate planning, fund management, financial analysis, and reporting in a medium-sized organization.
- Applicable Masters/M.Com / MBA Finance / MS Finance / MS (Accounting & Finance) / BBA (Hons.) Finance with at least 10 years post-qualification managerial experience in the same fields.
- Must possess great presentation and analytical expertise.
- Fluent communication and interpersonal competencies needed.
- Expertise in handling computerized accounting software is necessary.
- Age limit: 18 to 50 years.

Role Responsibilities
- Strategy, put in place, assess, and manage the Finance Directorate in line with management directives.
- Grow and carry out internal monitoring and evaluation mechanisms for the Finance Directorate.
- Supervise financial matters related to scheme and non-program payments as per rules and approved policies.
- Propose and arrange budget estimates, forecasts, and track financial targets and variances.
- Propose investments to management after analyzing fund status for quick financial management.
- Liaise with External Auditor and DG Audit for statutory annual financial audit and go to DAC and SDAC meetings.
- Correspond with Education Department, Finance Department, and DG Commercial Audit on financial and audit matters.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policy and PPRA rules as a participant of the Purchase Committee.
