Job Description

The Team Lead Backend at Punjab Enforcement & Regulatory Authority (PERA) is responsible for designing, developing, and keeping up server-side systems, APIs, and databases for the PERA software network.

This role guarantees simplified implementation of enterprise logic in.NET, plain data management in SQL Server via ADO.NET, and protected, expandable backend solutions. The position is set in Lahore and is contractual under the PERA task.

you’ll champion code standard, peer reviews, and engineering excellence whereas mentoring junior developers.

Salary & Compensation

Estimated market salary: PKR 200,000 – 350,000 per month.

Qualification

Candidates must grip a Bachelor's (Hons) degree (16 years) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or equivalent from a recognized university. A minimum of 10 years of backend development experience with.NET and SQL Server is required, such as at least 4 years in a lead or senior backend developer role.

  • At least 4 years in a backend lead or senior backend developer role.
  • Powerful portfolio of production-grade.NET APIs and SQL Server database systems.
  • Experience with government or enterprise systems is firmly preferred.
  • Experience in confidential entities accepted if registered with SECP, Registrar of Firms, or any other Public Sector Regulatory Authority.
  • First division (60% and above) required throughout academic profession.

Role Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and uphold ASP.NET Core Web APIs and backend services throughout PERA platforms.
  • Implement company logic layers following OOP principles, SOLID design, and established design patterns.
  • Create and improve SQL Server stored procedures, functions, views, and complicated queries via ADO.NET.
  • Architect safe RESTful APIs with proper authentication (JWT/OAuth), authorization, and rate limiting.
  • Handle database schema design, normalization, indexing approach, and performance tuning.
  • Manage Dockerization of backend services and containerized deployments.
  • Lead the backend team in sprint delivery, run code reviews, and enforce grade standards.
