Punjab Municipal Development Fund Company (PMDFC) is hiring a Deputy Program Officer (Occupational Health and Safety) for its Lahore-based Punjab Intermediate Cities Improvement Venture (PICP). The position is Lahore-based with required field visits for program activities.

PMDFC is a public sector company that works to boost municipal solutions and infrastructure over Punjab. This role is part of a donor-funded task focused on upgrading urban services in intermediate cities.

The Deputy Program Officer will be responsible for rolling out and monitoring OHS systems, carrying out danger assessments, and securing compliance with national and international safety standards.

Salary & Compensation

Estimated marketplace salary: PKR 70,000 – 150,000 per month.

Qualification

Candidates must keep a Bachelor’s (4-year) or Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering/Sciences or Occupational Health & Safety from an HEC-recognized institute. Certification in NEBOSH IGC and ISO 45001 Lead Auditor will be considered an asset.

  • Minimum 7 years of related skilled experience in carrying out and monitoring OHS systems for infrastructure projects.
  • Preference for experience under donor-funded programs such as Globe Bank or ADB.
  • Proven experience in developing and rolling out OHS management plans.
  • Expertise in hazard identification and threat assessments (HIRA).
  • Sound understanding of World Bank’s Environmental and Social System (ESF).
  • Maximum age limit is 45 years.

Role Responsibilities

  • Implement and monitor OHS systems for infrastructure projects under the PICP.
  • Carry out hazard identification and hazard assessments (HIRA) and confirm compliance with safety regulations.
  • Grow and carry out OHS management schemes and run safety inspections and audits.
  • Lead incident investigations, root bring about analysis, and arrange corrective and preventive action blueprints.
  • Hand over toolbox talks, training, and capacity building to venture workforce, contractors, and workers.
  • Get ready OHS monitoring reports, compliance checklists, and performance assess matrices.
  • Arrange with contractors, consultants, and local authorities to maintain a protected perform environment.
