Job Overview

The Steno Clerk Record Keeper will be part of the City Implementation Team at Rawalpindi, operating under the Project Management Unit (PMU) of the Punjab Intermediate Cities Improvement Investment Program (PICIIP) and the Punjab Rural Finance (PRF) initiative within the Local Government & Community Development (LG&CD) Department.

The role supports the team's administrative and documentation functions, ensuring that official records are systematically maintained and readily accessible.

Day-to-day responsibilities revolve around the accurate upkeep of files, registers, and correspondence related to project activities.

The position requires a methodical approach to record keeping, as the data managed here supports project monitoring and reporting.

The role also involves handling routine office correspondence and assisting with documentation workflows, which calls for strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

The position is contractual, aligned with the project's duration, and based at the LG&CD Complex in Civil Lines, Rawalpindi.

Eligibility and Qualification

Candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria as specified in the official advertisement

  • Intermediate (FA, FSC, ICS, I.Com) or a relevant discipline
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in matters related to record keeping
  • Good command on MS Office (including MS Excel)
  • Domicile is required for this position
  • Age: 18 to 50 years
  • Gender: Both male and female candidates are eligible

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update official records, files, and registers as per departmental procedures
  • Handle day-to-day record keeping tasks related to project activities
  • Assist in preparing and organizing correspondence and documentation
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of records for monitoring and reporting purposes
  • Use MS Office applications, particularly MS Excel, for data entry and record management
