The Urban Unit is hiring a Senior Specialist Economics to lead its economic development group. This role is located in Lahore and focuses on shaping policy, economic analysis, and reform agendas over agriculture, fields, health, and education.
The position is portion of a venture under the Planning and Development Board, Government of Punjab. Qualification
Candidates must have a minimum of 18 years of education in Economics, Econometrics, Development Studies, or an equivalent related degree from a reputed HEC-recognized institution. A Master's or M.Phil (18 years) is required.

Role Responsibilities
- Supply planned leadership for the economic development crew, setting direction for policy, economic analysis, and reform agendas.
- Shape and drive integrated, cross-sector reform strategies lined up with provincial economic priorities and long-term development objectives.
- Manage development of sector strategies, analytical outputs, and policy recommendations securing caliber and consistency.
- Manual economic and data-driven analysis throughout sectors, translating takeaways into usable policy frameworks and investment priorities.
- Drive cross-sector integration and coherence between economic growth, human capital development, and trade competitiveness.
- Steer stakeholder engagement with government entities, private sector leadership, and development partners.
- Offer methodological inputs on information collection activities covering sample surveys, census, and land apply mapping.
- Carry out in-depth records analytics on primary and secondary figures and oversee the information analysis staff.
