The Pakistan Digital Authority (PDA) is hiring an AI Associate to support the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions.
This role directly contributes to the Authority's digital transformation agenda by building AI models, data pipelines, intelligent automation, and AI-powered digital services for public platforms.
The Associate will work on implementing Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Natural Language Processing (NLP), and other emerging AI technologies.
This is a hands-on technical position involving both development and operational support, from preparing datasets and training models to monitoring performance and maintaining documentation.
As part of the PDA team, the AI Associate will also research new AI tools and frameworks, evaluate proof-of-concept initiatives, and promote responsible AI practices including fairness, transparency, privacy, and data security.
The role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in Python and modern AI frameworks who wants to apply their skills to public sector digital services.
Eligibility and Qualification
Candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline from an HEC-recognized institution.
- Minimum 1–3 years of relevant professional experience in artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, or software development.
- Experience developing machine learning models or AI-enabled applications using Python and modern AI frameworks.
- Familiarity with LLMs, prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), or Natural Language Processing will be an advantage.
- Experience with cloud platforms, Git, APIs, or MLOps practices will be preferred.
- Age limit: Max 65 years.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, development, testing, and deployment of AI and machine learning models for digital platforms and public services.
- Support the implementation of Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Natural Language Processing (NLP), and other AI-enabled solutions.
- Develop scripts, prototypes, and automation tools to improve business processes and service delivery.
- Prepare, clean, validate, and manage datasets for machine learning model development.
- Assist in model training, testing, evaluation, and performance optimization.
- Support the maintenance of vector databases, embeddings, and AI knowledge repositories.
- Monitor AI model performance and assist in troubleshooting production issues.
- Support deployment of AI services through APIs and cloud-based environments.
- Maintain documentation relating to AI models, datasets, experiments, and technical configurations.
- Research emerging AI technologies, frameworks, and best practices.
