As an Associate Professor in General Surgery, you will be responsible for delivering advanced surgical training to postgraduate residents, supervising their clinical work, and contributing to the academic and research output of the department.
You will also be expected to lead surgical teams in the affiliated teaching hospital, ensuring high standards of patient care and surgical practice.

Eligibility and Qualification
Candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria as specified by the Government of Pakistan and PM&DC
- MBBS or equivalent medical qualification recognized by PM&DC (or M.Sc. from a recognized university for non-medical graduates in basic sciences).
- Postgraduate qualification such as D.Sc., Ph.D., FCPS, MD, MS, M.Phil in the respective subject (General Surgery), or equivalent recognized by PM&DC.
- At least 5 years of teaching experience as Assistant Professor in the respective subject in a Postgraduate Institute, OR 8 years of teaching experience as Assistant Professor in an undergraduate medical institution.
- Must have produced at least three research papers (or at least five research papers if teaching experience is in an undergraduate institution).
- Domicile: Sindh (Rural).
- Age limit: Maximum 50 years (Federal Age Relaxation Rules applied).
Responsibilities
- Deliver lectures, conduct tutorials, and supervise postgraduate trainees in General Surgery.
- Lead and participate in surgical operations and clinical rounds in the affiliated hospital.
- Guide residents in research projects and ensure production of quality research publications.
- Contribute to curriculum development and examination processes for postgraduate programs.
- Participate in departmental administrative duties and committee work as assigned.
