Sheikh Zayed Post Graduate Medical Institute Lahore, a premier postgraduate medical institution under the Government of Pakistan, invites applications for the post of Associate Professor (Paeds Surgery).
This is a regular, full-time faculty position in the Department of Paediatric Surgery, where the selected candidate will be responsible for teaching, training, and supervising postgraduate residents and medical students, as well as providing expert surgical care to pediatric patients.
The role also involves conducting research, publishing papers, and contributing to the academic and clinical excellence of the institute.

Eligibility and Qualification
Candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria as specified by the institute and PM&DC
- MBBS or equivalent medical qualification recognized by PM&DC (or M.Sc. from a recognized university for basic sciences, for non-medical graduates).
- Postgraduate qualification: D.Sc., Ph.D., FCPS, MD, MS, M.Phil, or equivalent in the respective subject (FCPS/MD with DPH for Public Health institutes only).
- For this post: FCPS Pediatric Surgery, MS Pediatric Surgery, or Master of Surgery (Pediatric Surgery) is required.
- Experience: 5 years teaching experience as Assistant Professor in the respective subject in a Postgraduate Institute, OR 8 years teaching experience as Assistant Professor in an undergraduate medical institution.
- Research: At least 3 research papers (or 5 research papers if teaching experience is in an undergraduate institution).
- Domicile: Punjab.
- Age limit: Maximum 50 years (Federal Age Relaxation Rules applied).
Responsibilities
- Deliver lectures, conduct clinical demonstrations, and supervise postgraduate trainees in paediatric surgery.
- Perform and oversee surgical procedures for pediatric patients, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Guide residents in research projects and contribute to the institute's research output.
- Participate in academic committees, examinations, and curriculum development.
- Maintain patient records and ensure quality care in the paediatric surgery department.
