Job Overview

Sheikh Zayed Post Graduate Medical Institute Lahore, a premier postgraduate medical institution in Punjab, is inviting applications for the post of Associate Professor (Radiology).

This is a regular faculty position within the Department of Radiology, where the selected candidate will be responsible for teaching, clinical supervision, and research activities at the postgraduate level.

The role involves guiding postgraduate trainees, conducting radiological procedures, and contributing to the academic and clinical output of the institute.

The position is a key part of the institute's mission to advance medical education and patient care in the region.

Eligibility and Qualification

Candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria as specified by the institute and PM&DC

  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification recognized by PM&DC, OR M.Sc. from a recognized university in the relevant subject for non-medical graduates.
  • Postgraduate qualification such as D.Sc., Ph.D., FCPS, MD, MS, M.Phil in the respective subject (FCPS/MD with DPH for Public Health institutes only), or equivalent recognized by PM&DC.
  • 05 years teaching experience as Assistant Professor in the respective subject in a Postgraduate Institute, OR 08 years teaching experience as Assistant Professor in an undergraduate medical institution.
  • Must have produced at least three research papers (or at least five research papers if teaching experience is in an undergraduate institution).
  • Domicile: Sindh (Rural).
  • Age limit: Max 50 years (Federal Age Relaxation Rules apply).

Responsibilities

  • Deliver lectures and conduct tutorials for postgraduate trainees in Radiology.
  • Supervise and assess residents and junior faculty in clinical radiology practice.
  • Perform and interpret diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-ray, CT, MRI, and ultrasound.
  • Guide research projects and ensure publication of research papers in recognized journals.
  • Participate in departmental academic activities, including case conferences and journal clubs.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and examination processes for postgraduate programs.
