Job Description
The National IT Board (NITB) is hiring a Contract Data Engineer to join its data engineering team in Islamabad. This role is central to building and keeping up the government's data infrastructure, connecting over 30 agency data sources to a central Data Lake.
you’ll design and run ETL/ELT pipelines, data schemas, ingestion connectors, and streaming feed integrations. Securing data caliber, validation, cleaning, and availability for analytics platforms is a central responsibility. You’ll also monitor pipeline performance and tune storage, processing, and data access.
This position suits experienced data engineers who wish to operate on large-scale, public-sector data integration projects. The role is offered on a contract basis under grade PPS-9, with a maximum age limit of 45 years (age relaxation by now included).
Salary & Compensation
Estimated market salary: PKR 70,000 – 150,000 per month.
Qualification
Applicants must grip a Master's degree (16 years of education) in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Technology, or a tightly related field. Many degrees are accepted, covering BS, MS, MPhil, PhD, and specialized programs in data science, analytics, and IT management.
