Job Description

The National IT Board (NITB), a key government body driving digital work in Pakistan, is hiring a Spatial Planning Specialist on a contract basis at Grade PPS-10. This role is central to integrating geospatial technologies into urban and regional planning processes in the Sharp Integrated Infrastructure (SII) platform.

you’ll lead the digitisation of master blueprints, zoning maps, and land-use data using GIS and remote sensing resources, making sure consistency throughout agencies.

The position involves coordinating with system integrator vendors, supervising digital spatial database development for evidence-based decision-making. Digital Twin analytics, and liaising with the CDA urban planning directorate on data standards.

This role suits an experienced urban planner with sturdy GIS expertise who wants to shape contemporary, data-driven planning in Pakistan's capital region. The specialist will also mentor technical team and assist city-level spatial analytics dashboards for the Fusion Center Command & Control Center.

Salary & Compensation

Estimated market salary: PKR 120,000 – 250,000 per month.

Qualification

Applicants must keep a BSc in City & Regional Planning (CRP) or an MS in CRP/GIS. Registration with the Pakistan Council of Architects and Town Planning (PCATP) is preferred.

The role demands a minimum of 10 years of related experience and a maximum age of 50 years (age relaxation already included).

  • Run and mentor planners, GIS analysts, and technical workforce assigned to spatial planning functions.
