Job Overview
The Project Management Unit Shrimp Aquaculture, under the Fisheries Department, is offering a paid internship for Processing Plant Interns as part of the Establishment of Shrimp Estate with Value Chain project at 58NB, Sargodha.
This is a Punjab Government initiative aimed at developing a modern shrimp processing facility, and interns will gain hands-on experience in the operations of a processing plant.
As an intern, you will be embedded in the day-to-day workings of the shrimp processing unit, learning how raw product moves through receiving, handling, processing, and quality control stages.
You will work alongside experienced staff and contribute to the smooth running of plant operations, while building practical skills in food processing and safety.
The internship is designed for recent graduates in food-related disciplines who want to start their careers in the seafood processing industry.
It offers a structured learning environment within a government-backed project, giving you exposure to real-world processing challenges and the standards required in the sector.
Eligibility and Qualification
Candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria
- Masters/Bachelors (Hons) (16 years of education) in Food Engineering/Sciences, Food Science and Technology, or Food Engineering/Sciences
- Required Division First (60% and above)
- Age: 18 – 30 years
- Gender: Both
- Domicile is required for this position
Responsibilities
- Assist in daily operations of the shrimp processing plant
- Support quality control and food safety procedures
- Help maintain processing equipment and hygiene standards
- Participate in value chain activities from receiving to dispatch
- Document processing data and assist in reporting
