Sergeant – (bs-07) is listed by Punjab Enforcement & Regulatory Authority. The Punjab Enforcement & Regulatory Authority (PERA) is recruiting Sergeants (BS-07) to strengthen enforcement of scheduled laws over the province.
This is a steady government position with 1010 vacancies distributed among Lahore (300), Rawalpindi (150), Faisalabad (90), Multan (90), Bahawalpur (90), Gujranwala (90), Sargodha (50), Sahiwal (50), DG Khan (50), Gujrat (50), and other districts.
Sergeants will assist Senior District Enforcement Officers (SDEOs), Enforcement Officers (EOs). Investigation Officers (IOs) in executing their tasks, including recovering fines, making arrests, carrying out searches, seizing property, and preserving evidence. The role demands physical fitness, driving competencies, and the ability to work in mobile squads.
Applicants must have a domicile of the listed districts and gather strict physical standards: for males.. Height 173 cm, which is why bMI 27 or below.. One-mile run in 7 minutes, and chest expansion 2 inches; for females.. Height 162 cm.. BMI 27 or below — One-mile run in 11 minutes.
Eyesight must be 6/6 with or without glasses; color blindness is disqualifying. The position provides pay equivalent to BPS-07 plus PERA Special Allowance or Deputation Allowance and other admissible gains.
Salary & Compensation
Estimated market salary: PKR 50,000 – 100,000 per month.
Qualification
Candidates must have passed Intermediate from a recognized Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education. Age must be between 18 and 26 years. No relaxation in age, education, or physical standards is allowed, such as for present government servants.

- Age: 18 to 26 years as of the last date.
- Domicile of one of the listed districts: Lahore, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan, Bahawalpur, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Sahiwal, DG Khan, Gujrat.
- Physical standards for males: height 173 cm, BMI ≤27, one-mile run ≤7 minutes, chest expansion ≥2 inches.
- Physical standards for females: height 162 cm, BMI ≤27, one-mile run ≤11 minutes.
- Eyesight 6/6 with or without glasses; color blind candidates are ineligible.
- Must not have any physical disability.
- Driving license (optional but preferred for Sergeant Driver role).
Role Responsibilities
- Assist SDEOs, EOs, and IOs in enforcing scheduled laws.
- Recover imposed fines, create arrests, and use sensible force as prescribed.
- Run in mobile squads inside notified jurisdiction.
- Enter, inspect, search, and seal public or confidential property (with warrant) for law enforcement.
- Collect and preserve electronic evidence.
- Seize and confiscate items, goods, articles, property, or vehicles related to offenses.
- Guard confiscated items and keep up records immediately after seizure.
- Bear and employ weapons/gadgets as per rules; keep them in secure custody.
- Perform responsibilities in a buddy system; ride a bike and drive a vehicle.
- Any other functions delegated by the Authority.
