Job Description

System / Network Penetration Tester – a position at the National Telecommunication and Information Security Board (NTISB). This top government body for information security in Pakistan wants a trained System/Network Penetration Tester on a contract basis. The role falls under the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication, protecting national telecom and records infrastructure.

you’ll run penetration tests on computer systems, networks, and apps. You’ll also create fresh testing ways to spot vulnerabilities, plus perform physical security checks on servers and network gear. Then you research, evaluate, and document findings for IT teams and management. This is for an experienced security pro who acquires how hackers exploit human and technical gaps.

Remain on top of the latest malware and threats. Help improve security policies and customer awareness. The job means being sensitive to corporate demands, keeping downtime minimal during tests. At NTISB, you’re directly helping national cybersecurity.

Qualification

Candidates demand minimum 16 years of education in Cyber Security, Network Security, Information Security, Computer Science, or related fields. PMP and certifications like OSCP, OSWE, Pentest, or CEH are called for.

  • Minimum 16 years of education in Cyber Security, Network Security, Information Security, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecom Engineering, Electronics, or Information Assurance.
  • At least 5 years post-qualification experience, with 3 years in the applicable field.
  • PMP certification is a must.
  • Must have one or more of: OSCP, OSWE, Pentest, CEH.
  • Age limit: maximum 40 years.
  • Only post-qualification experience (after finishing 16 years of education) counts.

Role Responsibilities

  • Penetration testing on computer systems, networks, and applications.
  • Develop new testing techniques to spot vulnerabilities.
  • Physical security assessments of systems, servers, and network devices.
  • Locate approaches and entry points attackers might employ.
  • Search for weaknesses in frequent software, web apps, and proprietary systems.
  • Research, evaluate, document, and go over findings with IT teams and management.
  • Assess and give feedback on information security fixes.
  • Recommend improvements for present security solutions – hardware, software, policies, procedures.
