Job Overview

The Ministry of Law and Justice is the principal legal arm of the Government of Pakistan, responsible for providing legal advice to federal ministries, drafting legislation, and representing the state in legal matters.

As an Intern or Associate Lawyer, you will work closely with senior legal professionals in a fast-paced environment, gaining hands-on exposure to legal research, case preparation, and policy analysis.

This role is designed for fresh graduates who have completed their law degree in 2025 or later.

You will assist in drafting legal documents, reviewing case files, and supporting the ministry's legal advisory functions.

The internship offers a unique opportunity to understand how government legal departments operate and to build a strong foundation for a career in law.

Eligibility and Qualification

Candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria

  • Bachelor of Law (LLB) or equivalent degree from an HEC-recognized university in Pakistan
  • Other accepted qualifications include LLB Shariah and Law, Master of Law (LLM), MPhil in Law, PhD in Law, BA Shariah Islamic Law, LLM in International Trade Laws, LLM in International Legal Studies, BS Law, LLM in Human Rights Law, LLM in Comparative Commercial Law, LLM in Sharia & Law, LLM in Comm…
  • Fresh graduate, having graduated in 2025 or onwards
  • Maximum age limit is 27 years
  • Selection is on open merit

Responsibilities

  • Assist senior lawyers in legal research and case preparation
  • Draft legal documents, memos, and correspondence
  • Review and analyze case files and legal references
  • Support the ministry's legal advisory functions
  • Attend court proceedings and hearings as required
  • Help prepare briefs and summaries for legal opinions
