Job Overview
The Punjab Environment Protection Department is hiring a Senior Manager (Emission Trading System) for the CM Punjab Green Credit Program.
This role is central to designing and implementing an Emission Trading System and carbon pricing strategies within the province.
You will work with consulting firms and individual consultants, support industrial surveys for baseline construction, and coordinate with relevant departments and authorities to ensure the system aligns with regulatory and market requirements.
Your work will directly support Punjab's environmental goals by recommending appropriate marketing systems for ETS, prescribing institutional arrangements including software and hardware systems, and handling any other tasks assigned by higher authorities.
Eligibility and Qualification
Candidates must meet the following education and experience criteria
- Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Energy Engineering with 8 years of relevant experience
- Experience in regulatory compliance related to carbon markets
- Familiarity with voluntary and compliance-based carbon trading platforms, emissions inventorying, industrial/process engineering (including boilers and power plants), and projects related to pollution/emissions load assessment, CDM, carbon pricing mechanisms, carbon credit trading, cap-and-trade sy…
- Domicile is required for this position
- Age: 30 to 50 years, both genders eligible
