Job Overview

The Project Implementation Unit of the Improving Workforce Readiness in Punjab Project is hiring an Assistant Director (Curriculum) for a contract position based in Lahore, Punjab. This is a single vacancy at PPS-7 level with a monthly salary range of Rs. 160,000 to 260,000.

The role focuses on curriculum development and improvement for TVET institutes and CBTA education, aligning with national frameworks and SDG goals. Applications are open until 04-Sep-2026.

Eligibility and Qualification

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree (16 years of education) in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering disciplines.
  • Master's degree or above will be preferred.
  • At least eight (8) years of experience after acquiring the stipulated qualification.
  • Required Division: First (60% and above).
  • Age: Up to 50 years.
  • Demonstrated experience in curriculum development; preferably in the public sector.
  • Excellent presentation skills with written and oral communications are desired.
  • Excellent IT/computer skills including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with relevant experience in foreign-funded projects, overseas experience, or experience with international organizations and government institutions.
  • Extensive experience in providing strategic advice and developing public policies.

Responsibilities

  • Support the peer-review and assessment of curriculum design and provide recommendations for improvement of the curriculum framework followed by TVET institutes and CBTA education, including the National Vocational Qualifications Framework (NVQF).
  • Identify challenges in realigning curricula under the framework.
  • Provide input to develop and implement a holistic and comprehensive TVET curricula covering various sectors and domains.
  • Ensure that the curriculum supports all young people in developing skills for life and work in line with SDGs, including enterprising and employability skills, cognitive skills, and practical learning opportunities.
  • Ensure that necessary emphasis is placed on the holistic development of learners that results in economic progress for the province and improves workforce readiness.
  • Ensure that curriculum development aligns with SDG 4, with special emphasis on Global Citizenship Education, Human Rights, and Peace Education.
