The Project Implementation Unit (PIU) of the Improving Workforce Readiness in Punjab Project (IWRPP) is hiring a Deputy Director (Technical Content / Curriculum) for a contract position based in Lahore, Punjab. This is a single vacancy at PPS-8 level, with a monthly salary of Rs. 220,000 to Rs.

Eligibility and Qualification
- Minimum Bachelor's degree (16 years of education) in Education, Public Policy, or a suitable discipline; Master's degree preferred.
- At least ten (10) years of experience after acquiring the stipulated qualification.
- Required division: First (60% and above).
- Demonstrated experience in curriculum development, specifically technical content development; preferably in the public sector.
- Excellent presentation skills with strong written and oral communication.
- Excellent IT/computer skills including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook.
- Preference for candidates with relevant experience in foreign-funded projects, overseas experience, or experience with international organizations and government institutions.
- Extensive experience in providing strategic advice and developing public policies.
- Ability to engage with a cross-section of stakeholders in the public and private sectors.
- Domicile is required for this position.
Responsibilities
- Provide capacity building to PIU, TEVTA, PVTC, PSDA, and key staff on the curriculum development process based on a clear capacity building plan.
- Provide technical assistance and strategic guidance to achieve IWRPP project objectives related to technical content and curriculum development, ensuring all design and development phases are planned and implemented.
- Support the entire curriculum development process based on the approved annual work plan, progress made, and stakeholder input.
- Advise on the design and coordinate the curriculum development work plan with all needed resources.
- Ensure the structure for curriculum design and development committees is defined, support its operationalization, and provide clear rationale on roles, responsibilities, selection process, and workflows.
- Support drafting of a curriculum development work plan based on relevant documentation, including consultation and approval processes.
- Advise on planning all curriculum development phases, including activities, timeline, budget, and expected outputs.
- Support consultations and discussions of the detailed work plan with relevant fora, including the IWRPP Steering Committee.
- Advise on relevant and detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Assess the formal and non-formal labor market and socioeconomic framework conditions related to education.
