Job Overview

The Privatisation Commission, Government of Pakistan, is hiring an Advisor Transactions on a contract basis for the year 2026. This senior role, classified as Grade T-3, is central to steering the privatisation lifecycle of state-owned entities, from initial asset onboarding through to transaction closure.

The Advisor Transactions will provide strategic leadership across the entire privatisation process, ensuring that all due diligence—legal, financial, technical, and operational—is thorough and investor-ready.

This involves supervising transaction advisors, legal counsel, technical consultants, and valuers, while also leading transaction structuring and approving strategies.

The role requires direct engagement with domestic and international investors to gauge market appetite and optimize outcomes, as well as reviewing and clearing critical documents such as EOIs, RFPs, bidding packages, SPAs/JVAs, and Cabinet summaries.

The Advisor will also liaise with line ministries, regulators, SOEs, and oversight bodies to resolve bottlenecks and ensure inter-institutional alignment, making this a pivotal position for cross-government coordination.

Candidates with a background in the power sector, transaction advisory, NEPRA regulatory affairs, electricity distribution (DISCOs), mergers & acquisitions (M&A), or power sector reform will find this role particularly suited to their expertise.

The Privatisation Commission values international qualifications and experience, as well as recent experience in similar-level positions in other organizations.

This contract role is ideal for a seasoned professional looking to apply their strategic and transactional skills to Pakistan's privatisation program, contributing directly to national economic policy and reform initiatives.
