Job Overview
The Privatisation Commission is the federal body responsible for the privatization and restructuring of state-owned entities in Pakistan.
As a Consultant Strategy & Policy, you will work within the Commission's strategy and policy wing, providing analytical and technical support across the full privatization cycle.
Your work will directly inform decisions on which public sector entities are profiled for privatization or restructuring, and how those processes are framed and monitored.
You will help develop performance indicators, governance tools, and financial models, and prepare the background notes and policy briefs that guide senior decision-makers and inter-ministerial discussions.
This is a contract position at Grade G-3, offering an opportunity to contribute to high-level economic reform work in the federal government.
The role involves regular coordination with regulators, advisors, development partners, and other stakeholders, making strong analytical and communication skills essential.
Eligibility and Qualification
To be eligible for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria
- A BS in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Strategy & Policy, or a related field from an HEC-recognized university, OR a professional certification such as ACMA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CFA.
- At least 6 years of experience in investment banking, mergers & acquisitions (M&A), valuation, or restructuring.
- International qualifications/experience and recent experience in similar-level positions in other organizations are preferred.
- Maximum age limit is 45 years.
Responsibilities
- Support analysis of privatization frameworks, sector reforms, and institutional performance.
- Support development of performance indicators, benchmarks, and governance tools.
- Assist in financial modeling, business analysis, and preparation of background notes.
- Contribute to drafting policy briefs, analytical notes, progress reports, and presentations.
- Support inter-ministerial coordination and information exchange with regulators, advisors, and stakeholders.
- Assist in monitoring progress of strategic initiatives and tracking implementation milestones.
- Support engagement with development partners by preparing analytical inputs and documentation.
- Maintain records, databases, and analytical repositories related to strategy and policy work.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the competent authority.
