Job Overview

The Privatisation Commission, a key department of the Government of Pakistan, is hiring a Consultant Transactions on a contract basis for the year 2026. The role is central to the Commission's mandate of managing privatization transactions, requiring end-to-end oversight from data collection to deal closure.

The Consultant Transactions will be responsible for executing approved privatization deals, ensuring they are timely, compliant, and transparent.

This involves analyzing entity data, conducting due diligence, and preparing transaction strategies.

The role also includes drafting critical documents such as Information Memorandums, bidding documents, and sale purchase agreements, as well as coordinating with financial advisors and legal experts.

Eligibility and Qualification

The eligibility criteria for this role are designed to attract senior professionals with a strong background in financial transactions and regulatory processes.

The combination of academic qualifications and professional certifications ensures that candidates have both theoretical knowledge and practical expertise.

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field from an HEC-recognized university.
  • OR professional certification such as CPA, FCMA, FCA, FCCA, CIMA, or CFA.
  • At least 10 years of experience in the insurance industry, financial sector, mergers & acquisitions, or regulatory affairs.
  • International qualifications/experience and recent experience in similar-level positions are preferred.
  • Maximum age limit is 55 years.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, analyze, and assess data on assigned entities/assets, including ownership, financials, liabilities, legal standing, and operations.
  • Conduct and coordinate preliminary due diligence and prepare analytical reports in line with approved templates and procedures.
  • Develop and present transaction execution strategies, including in-house execution or engagement of Financial Advisors and consultants.
  • Evaluate and recommend optimal transaction structures, and review transaction structures proposed by appointed advisors.
  • Formulate and implement transaction plans with defined stages, activities, milestones, and timelines.
  • Prepare and coordinate key transaction documents such as Information Memorandums, bidding documents, SPAs, JVAs, and related agreements.
  • Prepare briefs, reports, and presentations for the Privatisation Commission, CCoP, and other relevant forums.
  • Review Financial Advisor deliverables, track milestones, and recommend validation and payments.
  • Coordinate with legal, financial, and technical experts to ensure accuracy and completeness of transaction documentation.
