Job Overview
The Privatisation Commission, operating under the Government of Pakistan, is looking for a Consultant Media to lead its communication and media operations.
This contract position sits within the Commission's communications wing and reports to senior management.
The consultant will be responsible for executing the approved Strategic Communication Framework and investor outreach plans, ensuring that privatization initiatives are effectively communicated to domestic and international audiences.
The role is central to shaping public perception of privatization efforts.
You will develop communication strategies, narratives, and branding initiatives that highlight the value proposition of state-owned enterprises.
This involves designing advocacy and awareness campaigns aligned with privatization priorities, managing stakeholder consultations with ministries, regulators, private sector entities, and development partners, and representing the Commission in media engagements, conferences, and forums.
Day-to-day, you will build and maintain relationships with media outlets, oversee the preparation of press releases, media briefs, interviews, and public statements, and monitor media coverage and public sentiment.
You will also supervise the creation of communication materials, including sector briefs and digital campaigns, and support international investor outreach activities such as roadshows and promotional events.
This is a demanding role that requires a blend of strategic thinking, media expertise, and the ability to work under pressure in a government setting.
Eligibility and Qualification
Candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria
- Masters in Media Studies, Mass Communication, or MIBA (Marketing/Branding).
- At least 8 years of relevant industry experience in areas such as Brand & Identity, Content & Editorial, Campaigns, Internal Communications, National Media Management, International Media Coordination, Press Operations, and Media Intelligence.
- International qualifications or experience, and recent experience in similar-level positions in other organizations, are preferred.
- Maximum age limit is 50 years.
Responsibilities
- Implement the approved Strategic Communication Framework and investor outreach plans under the guidance of senior management.
- Design and manage advocacy, awareness, and policy-support campaigns in line with privatization priorities.
- Build and maintain working relationships with domestic and international media outlets.
- Monitor media coverage and public sentiment and provide analytical inputs for reputation and crisis management.
