Job Overview
The Manager Internal Affairs sits within the Monitoring & Internal Affairs wing of the Punjab Enforcement & Regulatory Authority (PERA), a body tasked with enforcing regulations across the province.
The role is central to keeping the authority's own house in order: you will assist the Head of Internal Affairs & Intelligence in planning, supervising, and executing internal affairs functions, with a focus on monitoring field staff conduct, public dealing, and enforcement practices.
Day-to-day, the job revolves around oversight and investigation.
You will supervise the collection, verification, and analysis of field intelligence on corruption, misuse of authority, bribery, and misconduct.
When complaints come in against field officials, you review them and recommend preliminary action.
You will also identify loopholes in field operations and enforcement procedures, conduct or supervise fact-finding inquiries, and prepare analytical reports that feed into Efficiency & Disciplinary Proceedings.
The position carries real supervisory weight.
You will manage Deputy Managers and Assistant Managers assigned to field monitoring and internal affairs duties, and maintain liaison with field formations, DERBs, enforcement stations, HR, legal, and disciplinary branches.
Secrecy and integrity are non-negotiable, given the sensitive complaints, confidential sources, and inquiry records you will handle.
You will also monitor repeat complaints, high-risk areas, and officials with adverse conduct patterns, and help develop SOPs, reporting formats, and internal vigilance protocols.
