Job Overview

Eligibility and Qualification

To qualify for the System Support Officer position, candidates must meet the educational and experience criteria outlined by PERA.

The role requires a solid IT background, as the officer will handle both technical support and administrative tasks, so a degree in a computing discipline is essential.

  • 16 years of education (Masters/Bachelors Hons) or 18 years (MS/M-Phil) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in private entities is accepted only if the entity is registered with SECP, Registrar of Firms, or any other Public Sector Regulatory Authority.
  • Required skills include computer architecture, operating systems, data structures, computer networks, programming, and software engineering best practices.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, AQL Server, JQuery, HTML, XHTML, CSS,.NET MVC, Web API, SOAP, WCF, JavaScript, MySQL, SQL, Oracle, ASP, PHP, and JSP is required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and troubleshoot hardware components including desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and other peripheral devices.

  • Coordinate with external IT support providers and vendors for specialized technical assistance.

  • Maintain systematic filing of official records, memos, and correspondence.
  • Maintain financial records related to office expenses, vendor payments, and operational budgets.
  • Process vendor bills and ensure timely payment in compliance with agency procedures.
